Premier awards

With a total prize fund of £6K, the Premier Awards offer one of the largest cash prizes for dental risk management projects in the UK.

There are now six subject areas available for submitting entries.  They are: ethics and professionalism, record keeping, cross-infection control, teamworking and skillmix, consent and communication, health and safety.

The Premier Awards, sponsored by Dental Protection and schulke, were originally created to reward dental professionals who recognise the importance of patient safety within the dental practice.  Throughout their ten-year history dental professionals from a variety of specialisms have received one of the prestigious awards.

All members of the dental team are eligible to enter, whatever stage of their career they have reached, including: dental care professionals (undergraduate, postgraduate or practising), dental undergraduates or dentists (postgraduate or practising).

Once again the event will recognise individual achievements in developing awareness and the effective management of risk within clinical dentistry.

This year the awards will be presented during the Premier Symposium to be held at Kings College, London on Saturday, December 4.   Application forms and leaflets are now available from Dental Protection.
