General dental practitioners who are looking for an implant dentistry course offering the support of a local mentor, convenient online learning and hands-on practicals, can register for the Dental Route certificate in dental implantology, which begins in April 2023.
The foundation-level course is designed for dentists with no prior knowledge of implants who want to gain confidence and competence in the highly rewarding field of implantology. The holistic Dental Routes programme provides a friendly, supportive learning environment to guide students all the way up to placement of their first implant. All participants are assigned a dedicated, experienced local mentor who will work with them to oversee the planning, placement and restoration of three implant cases, at the end of the taught programme.
Past students have responded positively to the ongoing commitment and guidance from the Dental Routes team, which has provided additional reassurance for them to restore aesthetics and function for their own patients with missing or failing natural teeth. Kavitha Vivek from Chiltern Avenue Dental Practice in Bushey and Sherwood Park Dental Practice in Sutton explains, “I quickly realised that what makes the Dental Routes course stand out is having a dedicated local mentor to supervise and guide me with my first cases, to enable me to confidently plan, place and restore.”
According to Dental Routes director, Senthil Thiagarajan, “At Dental Routes we understand that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to dental implant education. That’s why we offer a broad flexible package. This includes access to a network of internationally renowned clinicians and business leaders providing independent perspectives on implant systems and techniques according to clinical need.”
