Geistlich UK, the bone and soft tissue regeneration specialist, is celebrating after their first symposium event in over 18 months proved a huge hit with dental professionals from across the UK and Ireland.

The sold-out conference was held at the Royal College of Physicians in London, on September 28, and the 80 delegates were treated to an exciting and eclectic host of speakers.

Heading up the agenda was international key opinion leader (KOL) and leading soft tissue specialist, Giulio Rasperini, who wowed delegates with his talk on bone & soft tissue regeneration.

Following his morning plenary session and hands-on workshops in the afternoon, Giulio said, “It was an absolute pleasure to be back in front of a UK audience again as well as spending time with fellow professionals. There was lots of energy in the audience throughout the day and the interactive sessions allowed for plenty of fantastic debate.”

Other members of the faculty, which included Amit Patel, Viraj Patel and Fazeela Khan-Osborne, shared the same sentiments, with Amit saying, “Although we’ve had to adapt very quickly over the last 18 months by delivering virtual seminars and online learning, this incredible Geistlich event proves just how important physical conferences and face-to-face learning are. There’s simply no substitute for this type of event.”

Geistlich has a long and dedicated history of bringing cutting edge seminars to the UK’s dental professionals. This latest Geistlich event provided a much-needed opportunity for delegates and faculty members to network once again with like-minded individuals.

Frank Sellers, managing director, Geistlich UK & Ireland, said, “The response from delegates following this event has been very positive. Being able to catch up with peers and many Geistlich customers once again was fantastic. On behalf of the whole Geistlich team, I’d like to thank all attendees for creating a wonderful atmosphere and showing that face-to-face learning is back!”

Following a successful return to conferences and hands-on workshops, Geistlich UK is already working on plans for their 2022 symposium which promises to be even bigger when it returns in October next year.

But with several regional and national courses also planned before then, anyone interested in attending Geistlich events is encouraged to check on the latest courses available to industry professionals by visiting shop.geistlich.co.uk and searching under ‘Courses & Congress’.
