British Endodontic Society calls for research on AGPs in dentistry with respect to COVID-19

12 June 2020

The British Endodontic Society (BES) intends to fund new research in response to the current COVID-19 pandemic.

Proposals are invited for short-term research activity aimed at addressing and/or mitigating the impacts of Aerosol Generating Procedures (AGPs) during the COVID-19 outbreak.

The closing date for proposals received under this call will be 15 July 2020.

Proposals will be accepted from UK based applicants.  Applicants are not required to be members of the BES.

The applicant should submit a detailed protocol of the project, details of the equipment or materials required on the attached Application Form and a copy of their curriculum vitae. It should be accompanied by a supporting letter from the Head of Department/School if the work is to be conducted in a dental school.

The BES is investing £40,000 in this research call. Applications for grants are invited up to the full amount of the fund and will be judged competitively.  Applicants are obliged to state on their submission if they are approaching other organisations for the funding of their project.
