Act of Random Kindness: Align Technology’s charitable campaign aims to grant Invisalign treatments to patients with oral challenges
Align Technology, Inc. has announced the launch of the Act of Random Kindness (ARK) charitable campaign, to give patients with oral deformities a chance to defy their challenges and achieve a smile they have always wanted.
This news is a follow up to the company’s recent announcement that it shipped its one-millionth Invisalign case in Europe.
Eligible patients include those with oral challenges such as genetic syndromes, or craniofacial or cleft deformities. They may also have health-related contraindications for traditional fixed appliance treatments.
Hand in hand
The ARK campaign encourages Invisalign-trained orthodontists across Europe to submit cases of patients with such challenges, in order to give back to their communities. An orthodontist whose patient is applicable for the programme will have their lab fee covered by Align Technology and the rest of the fee for the treatment waived by their Invisalign trained provider. This will enable those in need to benefit from having their teeth straightened with clear aligners.
“We are delighted to give the Invisalign orthodontists we work with the opportunity to treat patients with oral challenges and create new, beautiful smiles,” said Simon Beard, Align Technology’s senior vice president and EMEA managing director. “We hope the campaign will ignite doctors’ engagement so that we help as many as 50 patients in need over the next 12 months. We can think of no better way of celebrating our millionth European case than giving back to the community.”
