Launched on October 29 by the British Dental Health Foundation at the House of Commons, the Mouth Cancer Action Month campaign returned once more to take on oral cancer.

Supported by the Association of Dental Groups (ADG), Denplan, Dentists’ Provident and Healthcare Learning, the campaign was officially launched by Sir Paul Beresford MP, chief executive of the British Dental Health Foundation Nigel Carter OBE and president Tony Newton.

“There is a real opportunity this year to get ministers and government officials concentrating on the real healthcare issues,” said David Worskett, chair of the ADG.

“It is important that we continue our attempts to persuade ministers and politicians that oral cancer is right up there with their other healthcare priorities.”

Nigel Carter OBE added, “Please join us by helping to raise awareness of mouth cancer and make a positive difference to thousands of lives.”

Thus, whether it’s donning your blue ribbon, taking part with a #bluelipselfie, organising a fundraising event or making monetary donations, please support Mouth Cancer Action Month and help make a difference.

Remember – it’s not too late to get involved.
