The University of Bolton, Barnet and Southgate College and Genix Healthcare are delighted to be involved with new dental based Trailblazer Apprenticeships in England.

The University of Bolton has appointed Robert Higgs as head of the brand new Centre for Dental Science, which will offer courses to help all dental team members meet the requirements of employers and the GDC.

Hosted by Barnet and Southgate College and supported by Genix Healthcare, the apprenticeship programme in dental practice management will also soon be available.

The formal, competence based training will create a highly skilled and experienced workforce to boost the dental sector, with delegates gaining a Level 4 Certificate awarded by the Institute of Leadership and Management as well as a work based portfolio. Barnet and Southgate College will deploy external assessors to review students’ progress and ensure the quality and success of the programme.

Interested candidates with a dental nursing or practice management background should contact Kathy Giles from Barnet and Southgate College as soon as possible to join the first cohort from September 11.
