As part of its ongoing partnership with international children’s cleft charity, Smile Train, the founders of award winning London dental practice, Elleven, hosted a ‘Smile Train Golf Day’ at The Buckinghamshire Golf Club.

Held on May 13, Sameer Patel, clinical director, and Shivani Patel and Anthony Lam, orthodontic specialists, invited a variety of friends, patients and colleagues to The Buckinghamshire Golf Club, including Lewis Moody, former England Captain, to enjoy a day on the golfing green whilst raising money for Smile Train.

Throughout the day, guests played 18 holes of golf and had the opportunity to take part in fun competitions such as ‘Beat the Pro.’ Following this, guests attended an early dinner and were entertained by former English Cricketer, Ed Giddins, who auctioned off an amazing line up of prizes including five box tickets to see The Manic Street Preachers at the Royal Albert Hall and two tickets to The Monaco Grand Prix!

Smile Train is an international children’s charity with a sustainable approach to the solvable problem of cleft lip and palate. The charity’s sustainable model provides training and funding to empower local doctors in 85+ developing countries to provide 100 per cent free cleft repair surgery in their communities.
