COVID-19 support package for dentists launches

09 April 2020

Frank Taylor & Associates (FTA) has put together a COVID-19 support package to help ease dentists out of the on-going coronavirus pandemic.

As its impact on dental practices continues to take its toll – with practices forced to shut down and staff furloughed or redeployed – FTA, the sales and evaluation specialist to the dental profession, has pulled on expert resources to offer an Oracle COVID-19 support package.

Designed to help practice owners and managers navigate their way through the unknown territory ahead, the support package is available over three months, offers impartial advice and includes:

  • Access to employment and HR legal team via a telephone advice line, headed up by employment & HR solicitor, Sarah Buxton
  • Email support from expert legal team
  • Regular email updates covering FAQs
  • Templates of documentation and letters recommended to provide to employees.

In acknowledgment of how the current economic environment is impacting the finances of many dental practice owners, the Oracle COVID-19 support package is just £100 + VAT per month (April, May and June) to cover the cost of providing the helpline.

Andy Action, director at FTA, said: ‘Most of us had little control over the impact COVID-19 had on our businesses, and the speed it happened.

‘Whilst there is some comfort that you are not alone – and the whole country needs to recover from this crisis – the speed of your recovery will be partly dependent on how you quickly COVID-19 hit your practice and how you conducted yourself through this difficult period.

‘As the crisis hit, the openness and regularity of your communication with your team, patients, suppliers, your bank and those close to you will set the marker for how you bounce back. To come back strong from this requires a strategy and vision, and a good deal of grit and determination.’
