All UK dental graduates have now been offered training places for 2014 and recruitment for 2015 schemes opens on September 1, 2014.

Following a successful national recruitment process co-ordinated by Health Education South London, that started a year ago, all new dental graduates who are eligible and need to complete dental foundation training to work in NHS primary dental care have now been offered a training place.

999 available posts have been filled across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, with 33 extra places having been funded this year in England.

It's almost time to start the whole process again and final year students at Dental Schools are asked to apply on line between September 1 and September 22, 2014 if they want to enter dental foundation training when they graduate next year.

Helen Falcon, chair of COPDEND said, "I should like to congratulate all those dentists starting training posts in September and to thank all of the trainers, training programme directors and administrators who work so hard to run a fair and efficient recruitment process each year.”
