Dentisan acquired by Getinge

Dentisan, manufacturer and supplier of dental infection control products, along with parent company Quadralene, has been 100 per cent acquired by Getinge, a global provider of products and systems that contribute to quality enhancement and cost efficiency within healthcare and life sciences.

The deal, which has been negotiated over the last seven months by Breeze Corporate Finance and Shakespeare Martineau Lawyers, safeguards all the jobs at Dentisan’s manufacturing base in Derby and will see the creation of a centre of excellence for chemistry and instrument disinfection at the company’s headquarters in the city.

Getinge was founded in Sweden in 1904 and today employs over 10,000 people worldwide, running 20 production sites in eight different countries. Getinge provides hospitals and life science institutions with products and solutions that aim to improve clinical results and optimise workflows. Their offering includes products and solutions for intensive care, cardiovascular procedures, operating rooms, sterile reprocessing and life science and it operates in more than 135 countries.
