The British Endodontic Society is holding its 2017 regional meeting in Edinburgh on November 17-18, at the Sheraton Grand Hotel and Spa.

Hosted by BES President Professor BS Chong, the two-day programme is set to engage, educate and inspire delegates who are booking from all over the world.

The theme of the meeting, ‘Endodontic infections and systemic health’, aims to explore the possible links between oral inflammatory processes and general well-being.

The event includes a range of masterclasses, presentations from key speakers, a trade exhibition, networking opportunities and conference dinner.

Friday, November 17

Friday’s programme starts with the choice of four masterclasses:

Following lunch, Professor Martin Thornhill (UK) will be giving two lectures: ‘Focal infection theory – Endodontics in the dock?’ and ‘Antibiotic prophylaxis and endocarditis – What a NICE mess!’

Friday’s conference dinner, subsidised by the BES, will be held at the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. There will be a private viewing of the Dental Collection, one of the finest in the UK, at the Surgeons Hall Museum, a drinks reception and traditional Ceilidh entertainment.
