The European Academy of Paediatric Dentistry held its first face to face meeting since the pandemic in Lisbon between June 15 to 18, 2022. The conference was attended by several BSPD members. It was fantastic to see the achievements of so many UK paediatric dentists.
Professor Ferranti Wong was announced president-elect for the academy in recognition of his dedication to the speciality and children’s oral health – and Professor Richard Welbury OBE was awarded honorary life membership of the academy in recognition of his contribution to paediatric dentistry
EAPD clinical awards were given to Srishti Datta from the University of Newcastle and Jasmine Cachia Mintoff from the Eastman Dental institute.
Professor Sondos Albadri, president, BSPD was among many of the society’s members who were invited as key note speakers.
