A Geistlich masterclass on hard and soft tissue aesthetic outcomes

Geistlich UK, the leading bone and soft tissue regeneration specialist, is bringing its first live symposium event in over 18 months to the Royal College of Physicians in London, on Tuesday, September 28, 2021.

This eagerly anticipated full day seminar boasts an excellent line up of speakers who collectively, will deliver a masterclass on hard and soft tissue aesthetic outcomes.

Headlining the main plenary sessions are international KOL and leading soft tissue specialist, Professor Giulio Rasperini, and one of the UK’s leading periodontal experts, Amit Patel. As well as keynote presentations, both Giulio and Amit will be running hands-on workshops for 60 delegates.

Supporting the main plenary group are two more highly regarded speakers. Firstly, rising star and implantologist Viraj Patel will talk through his latest work on the fundamentals of guided bone regeneration (GBR). Additionally, worldwide speaker and surgical and restorative expert Fazeela Khan-Osborne will be presenting her findings on the subject of socket (ridge) preservation using Geistlich Bio-Oss Collagen.

During the seminar and hands-on workshop with Giulio, both vertical and horizontal bone augmentation techniques will be discussed and trialled by attendees. This will include the use of resorbable and non-resorbable membrane, tenting screws or microplates, and new 3D scaffolding procedures, with a particular focus on biomaterials and surgical techniques.

Speaking about this forthcoming event, Giulio said, “With this being the first physical event for many of us, I’m super excited to be presenting my very latest research and surgical techniques to my fellow dental professionals in the UK. They are always a pleasure to work with, I’m sure they will bring lots of energy and debate -  which always makes for a fantastic seminar.”

Geistlich has a long and dedicated history of bringing cutting edge seminars to the UK’s dental professionals and is ready to bring this latest action-packed agenda. Amit shares in this excitement, explaining, “The last 18 months have been rather unusual and challenging for us all. On reflection, I realise just how much I miss going to events and conferences where I can meet up with others to discuss cases and techniques that can help us improve and be better. This Geistlich event is an opportunity to network with like-minded individuals and catch up with peers and colleagues; I’m certainly looking forward to it! I’ve been fortunate enough to be asked to lecture at this event where I’ll be talking about how we can utilise Geistlich Fibro-Gide to improve our implant aesthetics for our patients in a predictable way. I hope to see you there!”

Interest in the event has already surpassed expectations with the hands-on workshops now fully booked, over five weeks in advance!”

Although the workshops are full, Geistlich has also announced that places for the main plenary sessions, which take place from 9am and 2pm, are still available and can be reserved for a reduced rate of just £99. The price also includes lunch and refreshments. To book your place, go to: shop.geistlich.co.uk and search under Courses & Congress.
