The British Orthodontic Society (BOS) is hosting the prestigious 8th International Orthodontic Congress (8th IOC) in London this year.  This is the biggest orthodontic event of a generation held in association with the World Federation of Orthodontists.  It’s anticipated that over 10,000 orthodontists and staff will converge on London.

The International Orthodontic Congress takes place every five years and is exceptional both for scientific and social events. Held at the ExCeL Conference Centre, this is the third time London has hosted this world event and an extremely high bar has been set for Chair of the 8th IOC London, Jonathan Sandler, and his organising committee in 2015.  Professor Sandler, Chair of 8th IOC London, says:

“This is a monumental event in the Orthodontic Calendar and BOS is delighted to be bringing this Congress to London.  It provides the ideal forum for orthodontists to meet old and new friends, expand their knowledge and enhance the science and art of orthodontics.  Fifty of the top orthodontic speakers worldwide will be featured in the Keynote spots over the three days of the congress. 1100 Abstracts were received from over 75 countries around the world for the poster and short presentation slots which will run throughout the Congress.”

A one day pre congress course (September 26 at the Royal College of Surgeons) will see world renowned speakers Ewa Czochrowska and Pawel Plakwicz  present the latest research on Autotransplantation.
