Looking forward to BDIA Dental Showcase 2022

There is only one place to be March 25-26, 2022, and that’s at the ExCel, London, for the long-awaited return of Dental Showcase. A celebration of all things dental, the exhibition has been very much missed over the last two years and the buzz of anticipation across the dental industry is palpable.

From clinicians to manufacturers, academics to business leaders, everyone connected to dentistry is invited to take up this opportunity to gather together in person again and look to the future with energy and enthusiasm.

Brought to you by MA Exhibitions, in association with the BDIA, Dental Showcase will be a chance to hear from highly respected titans of the dental world as well as to catch up with old friends and industry colleagues.

David Hussey, a portfolio sales director at MA Exhibitions, commented, “The last 18 months have been extraordinarily difficult on the dental community, with new challenges and pressures cropping up on a weekly basis. We are delighted to bring BDIA Dental Showcase back at this crucial time to offer support to dental professionals and the dental industry alike and provide opportunities for the whole community to re-connect.

BDIA Dental Showcase remains focused on helping professionals invest time in training and keeping up to date on the latest techniques, procedures, products, and technology available. Bringing back face-to-face networking is crucial for sharing best practice and we look forward to connecting dental professionals in March 2022.”

England’s Chief Dental Officer, Sara Hurley, is set to deliver a keynote address on both mornings at the show’s Clinical Theatre while her team will present numerous clinical and leadership-based sessions as well as welcoming engagement from delegates with NHS England and the CDO at their dedicated stand.

“It’s been a challenging time for everyone recently, particularly those working in a clinical setting, and for many it’s been quite isolating,” Sara Hurley said. “My keynote address will cover the transition to recovery from Covid-19 as well as the next steps to system reform and I look forward to seeing as many people as possible over the two days. There’s a great sense of optimism in finally getting together in person again to exchange ideas, experiences and plans for the future with colleagues across the industry. The exhibitors will be keen to get out and share their latest innovations and it’s always exciting to see what new technology is on the way. It’s also a wonderful opportunity for us to engage with dental professionals across the spectrum, to hear their thoughts on a wide variety of issues so that we can work together on our mutual goal of excellent patient care for the future.”

The programme of events and interactive lectures over the course of the two days is second to none, with no fewer than six separate theatres hosting an exciting array of experts.

At the Philips-sponsored Clinical Theatre you can attend eCPD accredited lectures centred around new developments in clinical procedures from Philips, Tif Qureshi, Coltene, Voco, Align Technology, DMG and Cavendish Imaging.

Over at the Oral Health Theatre, sponsored by GSK, there’ll be a wide range of eCPD accredited presentations from GSK, Waterpik, dentisan, Dental Monitoring, Listerine and the British Fluoridation Society aimed at all dental healthcare professionals. Practice owners, managers and directors won’t want to miss the invaluable sessions on topics such as human resources, finance and leadership at the Business Theatre where coach Simon Gambold, Dental Elite, Frank Taylor & Associates, Medi Holdings, Samera and Dodd & Co will deliver lectures, or the panel discussion from the Business Confidence Forum, supported by the Association of Dental Administrators and Managers.

The British Association of Private Dentistry (BAPD) is delighted to announce that it will be staging its own inaugural lecture theatre at Dental Showcase. “We have an exciting programme lined up over the Friday and Saturday, ranging from panel debates about the future of dentistry and quality in dentistry to lectures on management, leadership and even bitcoin,” explained Rachel Derby, board and executive committee member of the BAPD. “More than anything, we’re looking forward to meeting and interacting with our members and anyone in the profession and the trade with a vested interest in private dentistry.”

Meanwhile, following the success of Dental Update’s very popular webinar series that managed to bring the profession together during the most difficult period of the pandemic, the Update Webinar Reunion Theatre will reunite those involved in the initiative, including members of the Update editorial board, leading clinicians and speakers, so if you’re one of the 250,000 dental healthcare professionals who tuned in, do pop along for a very welcome in-person chat.

Dental Showcase will encompass over 200 exhibitors, including all the leading dental manufacturers, suppliers and service providers. Having missed a chance to demonstrate their wares in person over the last couple of years, they are pulling out all the stops to make the 2022 exhibition the best yet. It’s a fantastic chance to meet the faces behind the brands, explore their latest innovations and discuss the techniques and products that play such important roles in your working lives. Whatever equipment investments you may be planning, you’re bound to find them among the exhibits, displayed for ease of access and hands-on browsing, with experts standing by to answer your queries.

  • Discover the latest dental chairs from companies like Belmont, A-Dec, Planmeca, Miglionico, Prestige Medical and more.
  • Check out digital equipment such as intraoral scanners and 3D printers from manufacturers such as Henry Schein Dental and Cavendish Imaging.
  • Compare hand instruments from suppliers including Coltene and Swallow.
  • Consider your options with regard to surgery refits with companies such as Anglian Dental or for finance with Braemar Finance, Performance Finance Ltd, Samera and FTA Finance.

There’ll be exciting special offers and substantial discounts on many of the goods purchased or ordered at the show. Being able to compare and contrast such a large number of products and services under one roof means you can potentially save both time and money during your visit.

Practice owners attending BDIA Dental Showcase are also invited to take up a very special complementary VIP experience offer with the following great benefits:

  • Badges and lanyards posted directly to you in advance, fast-tracking your registration.
  • Access to a dedicated Practice Owners Lounge where you can relax on comfy sofas, enjoy complementary tea, coffee and lunch across both days of the event and take advantage of the meetings area to engage with colleagues.
