Making a difference

It’s a sad statistic, but the number of people sleeping rough on the streets of England and Wales is rising relentlessly.

Agencies have reported that over 7,500 people have slept rough in London alone in 2014/2015, and homelessness has more than doubled in five years to the highest levels since records began.

Christmas for most people is a time of fun and celebration with family and friends, but for those without a roof over their head it can be a cold, hungry and desperately lonely time. Crisis at Christmas is a charity initiative that runs December 23-30 each year, providing a warm, safe place to stay, a decent meal and personal help for those living rough, and is something that dental infection control specialists Dentisan is extremely keen to support.

Crisis at Christmas services are made possible through the generosity of companies and individuals who donate goods, services, expertise, time and money. Dentisan, through their parent company Quadralene, has become a regular contributor to Crisis, donating their cleaning and disinfection products to help the cause. This year Dentisan products will be used in temporary centres in London, Birmingham, Newcastle, Coventry and Edinburgh, proving just how widespread the homeless crisis has become.

Dentisan is proud to support Crisis Christmas and the charity thanked them for their generosity saying, “With the help and support of Dentisan we can again make a real difference this Christmas for the many thousands of people who have no home.”
