For those who are keen to work in the healthcare sector, Lenstore has researched the average salaries per country for a number of healthcare roles.

From doctors to midwifes to radiologists, this list shares how much you can expect to earn in each role.

When comparing all of the countries in the study, the United States ranked as the overall best country to work in healthcare for the highest salaries. Most noticeable salaries are those associated with optometry, dentistry and radiology.

The US has an average salary of £95,768 for an optometrist, £153,476 for a doctor and £308,573 for a radiologist.

If Europe is a destination that you’re willing to explore as well as move to for a career, look no further than Norway. Norway offers high average salaries for its healthcare roles, with dentists earning £126,460 and chiropractors earning £77,837.

Countries have been seeded from the source where information on government spending on healthcare is available. For the cost of luxury items, Lenstore found the cost in each country using desk research, as well as following expert guides on how often people need/use these items.

For salaries per job role, averages have been used where sources have given a range. All data has been converted from the local currency to GBP.
