The feel-good factor came to the BDIA Dental Showcase, one of the biggest shows in the dental calendar, thanks to a campaign by Practice Plan to inspire good deeds.

Practice Plan’s #ppmakeitcount campaign saw 90 golden envelopes, each containing £20, hidden throughout the exhibition hall.

Lucky delegates who found the envelopes were asked to make the cash count and do something amazing with it.

Since the exhibition, Practice Plan, the UK’s leading provider of practice-branded dental plans, has been gathering stories of how the money has been used to make a difference.

These include:

  • Using the cash to buy hats and gloves for the homeless

  • Buying groceries for a food bank

  • Donating it to a local hospice

  • Giving it to a charity that fights female genital mutilation

  • Handing it over to Bridge2Aid.

Gayle Collett, Head of Marketing for Practice Plan, said, “With all the negative press in the world at the moment, especially around NHS dentistry, we simply wanted to spread some good cheer at Showcase and the delegates certainly didn’t disappoint in paying the cash forward and making it count.

“It’s truly heart-warming to hear the tales of how people used the money for the greater good, and we’re delighted that so many people joined in with the spirit behind what we were doing.

“Thank you to everyone who joined in with the fun and helped to spread a little kindness.”
