Jon Nicolas has been announced as this year’s winner at the annual UCL Eastman Dental Institute prize-giving for students of the Certificate in Restorative Dental Practice, sponsored by Prestige Dental.

Jon was recognised for achieving the highest combined score in four assessments undertaken during the course.  Peter Nutkins, product specialist from Prestige Dental, presented Jon with a Denar Mark 2 articulator and a framed certificate.  Peter commented, “We have long-lasting relationships with a lot of teaching schools but what is unique about Eastman is that they are the only post-graduate dental school.  One of our strengths is supporting education for dentists and we are delighted to present Jon with this prize at this stage of his career in dentistry.”

Receiving his prize, Jon said, “I’m overwhelmed.  It’s been hard work but really rewarding.”

Neil Nathwani, programme director, said, “Jon has done really well and it is a great opportunity for him to have his own instrument.”

Senior lecturer, Andrew Croysdill, commented, “We are very grateful to Prestige Dental for all of their support.  Their input has a big impact on students who benefit greatly from their work with us.”
