Dentists need to ensure their digital equipment is regularly maintained, to fulfil their legal obligations and keep their practice running smoothly.

A comprehensive Service and Support Plan from The Dental Imaging Company gives peace of mind, helping to avoid expensive and disruptive downtime.

Richard S Kahan of The Academy of Advanced Endodontics, London, explains why he has a package in place for his Morita 3Dcone beam CT scanner, “The machine is mission critical to my practice and it is vital that I have the back up provided by the plan.”

Any employer who has control of equipment used in connection with medical exposure to ionising radiation has a legal responsibility for ensuring it is properly maintained. The Health and Safety Executive Guidance Note PM77 advises that, “Equipment used in connection with medical exposure should be under some form of maintenance/service contract.”

From £18.50 plus VAT a month, the Service and Support Plan package includes a free annual service, and support for equipment and software.  This enables practices to comply with clinical governance and their legal responsibility to ensure the safety of staff and patients.
