The boss of a Shropshire business consultancy firm today revealed they were aiming to acquire a string of dental practices across the region on behalf of a client.

Mark Harris, managing director of The Business Company, based near Shrewsbury, said this was the perfect opportunity for an owner of a dental practice who was perhaps reaching retirement or someone who wanted to relinquish their responsibilities of managing their own practice.

Mr Harris, who specialises in business development and consultancy with companies across the UK, said: “Primarily we are looking for NHS based dental practices with good Care Quality Commission ratings.

“Our aim is to acquire at least 15 dental practices across Shropshire and the West Midlands this year and a total of 45 over the next three years.

Mr Harris, who has successfully acted for clients in both acquiring and disposing of dental practices boasts vast knowledge of the industry, said his team would be visiting any dental practices interested with a view to conduct an initial assessment to see if it met the criteria needed.

Mr Harris added: “The practice must have at least three surgeries and preferably be an NHS practice.
