Esgate will bring to the newly created role more than 15 years of dental experience, including three years working with PDS Dental Laboratory, a business recently acquired by The Dental Directory.
The creation of Esgate’s role and the recent acquisition of PDS Dental Laboratory demonstrates The Dental Directory’s investment in growing demand for digital technology within the dental industry.
Commenting on his recent appointment, Esgate said, “The Dental Directory has always listened and responded to the needs of its customers, but it also looks at further trends and growth areas for its customers. Digital dentistry is a developing area of the market but it’s by no means fully established. My role is to guide customers to the new technologies available and support them.
“As well as visiting dental practices to road test the latest products, a key part of my role with The Dental Directory is to forge close relationships with manufactures. This enables us to remain at the forefront of what’s happening in the sector and gives us insight which can be passed on to our customers – giving them the competitive edge.”
Esgate joins The Dental Directory’s growing number of specialists within the clinical team which is headed up by clinical director, Jason Bedford, who adds, “We are delighted to welcome Richard.

He is the third appointment in as many months and follows key roles being created within surgical and orthodontics.
