Time is running to renew your registration

Time is running out for dentists to renew their registration. Those who don’t renew their registration before 31st December 2017, will no longer be able to practise as they will be removed from the register.

So, it’s imperative that all dentists remember to urgently complete these three simple steps before the deadline:

1. Declare and/or confirm they have indemnity;

2. Pay their Annual Renewal Fee (ARF); and

3. Make their CPD statement, if it’s required.

The quickest and most efficient way of renewing is via eGDC – which is an online platform that is accessible 24/7. eGDC allows dental professionals to complete all three of the steps listed above. It is also a helpful way to keep personal details up to date and to download their annual practice certificate. If you need to renew your registration and don’t yet have an eGDC account, it’s quick and easy to set one up, via www.egdc-uk.org. You can also renew your registration via telephone by calling 0800 197 4610, however it is now too late to renew via post.

This year, dentists will be declaring their CPD under the current scheme for the final time, as enhanced CPD will be introduced in 2018. For more information about ECPD, visit: www.gdc-uk.org/professionals/cpd/enhanced-cpd.
