Dental students across the UK are set to benefit from a specialist live-streamed webinar – hosted by Sky and Capital Xtra presenter, Remel London – on transitioning to the next step in their dental career.

Run by Wesleyan Group, the specialist financial services mutual for dentists, the ‘The Next Step’ event will take place on the July 14 and be broadcast live to dental students via Facebook Live and Instagram.

The session will give young dentists the opportunity to hear from experts on key issues in the industry and will include a panel discussion on getting the most from foundation years, building a healthy work life balance and developing personal and professional networks.

Speakers will include Yewande Oduwole, dental foundation trainer, Onkar Mudhar, core trainer and associate and Dr Hassan Asad. Attendees will also be able to submit questions to the speakers.

Scott Wilson, student liaison manager at Wesleyan Group, said, “It’s safe to say that this year has been fraught with uncertainty for dental students, who’ve battled with remote learning and more restrictive practice experiences.

“The Next Step events were first set up to give dental students the reassurance they needed to take the step into working life, and this year that’s more important than ever.

“We’re looking forward to welcoming a wonderful panel of dentists to our live studio in Birmingham, and helping the next generation of dentists to give their careers a boost.
