With so many fantastic entries posted on DPAS’ Facebook page the judges had a really tough decision to choose a winner. But finally the votes were in and many congratulations go to Stella Galer from Tupsley Dental Practice, Hereford who has been crowned the ‘Going the extra smile’ champion 2015 and awarded a fantastic Fortnum & Mason hamper.
Stella was nominated by her practice manager, Karen Jones, who explained how Stella always goes above and beyond her role as hygienist. Aside from caring for her patients Stella visits local schools in her own time to offer oral health care advice to children, she is an active fundraiser for cancer charities and is involved in the practice’s many fundraising efforts for international dental charity Dentaid.
Congratulations also go to Sam Hodgson from The Smile Rooms Dental Practice, Malton and Nicola Hoar and the team at Manor House Dental Practice in St Austell, for being awarded ‘Highly Commended’ for their efforts during 2015. They will be receiving a bottle of champagne to celebrate their achievements.
