Michele is the founder of a campaign for free NHS dental care for cancer patients. The campaign followed her own experience with breast cancer and conversations with other cancer patients who struggled to pay for their urgent dental care whilst receiving cancer treatment. Professor McGurk is a head and neck cancer specialist, past president of the British Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons (BAOMS) and the founder of the Head and Neck Cancer Foundation (HNCF).
